Saving North Georgia Dogs and Cats

Effective 2/13/2017, Saving North Georgia Dogs and Cats (SNGDC) will become a part of the Humane Society of Jackson Co., GA (HSJC), a 501(c)(3) organization. On the same day, Jackson County, GA’s first Animal Control facility will open its doors. This partnership will enable us to continue our efforts to save the dogs and cats brought in by/surrendered to Jackson County Animal Control, but with several enhancements: our pledgers can now more easily obtain tax letters, we will have a greater ability to adopt locally, and more volunteers will be available to facilitate more rescues.

On request of a SavingNorthGeorgiaDogsandCats donor, a receipt for donations to SavingNGDC between Februrary 13, 2017 and December 31, 2017 will be sent by the end of January 2018. Requests must be emailed to tax@hsjc.com no later than 12/31/17 and must include your donation name, Paypal email address if Paypal used for donations, and amount you believe you donated in 2017 after SNGDC was incorporated into HSJC. If post mail is preferred, mail the request to HSJC, P.O. Box 567, Jefferson, GA 30549, ATTN Taxes.
