Miss Puppy Love Pageant

The Miss Puppy Love Pageant, a benefit for the Humane Society of Jackson County created and organized by Tracey and Kelly Pittman, is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2012. In its third year, the pageant has been sanctioned through the Our Little Miss scholarship system, which allows winners to move on to the State, and possibly World, levels. Build-A-Bear is donating the trophies and all contestants receive a special gift.

Miss Puppy Love is a Natural Look pageant and hair and make-up must be age appropriate. Age divisions are Baby Miss, birth-18 months; Tiny Miss, 19 months-3 years; Wee Miss, 4-6 years; Little Miss, 7-9 years; Preteen Miss, 10-12 years; Teen Miss, 13-15 years; and Miss, 16 years and up.

The pageant will be held at Jefferson United Methodist Church Hall. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the pageant begins at 10 a.m.

The entry fee for contestants is $50 and entries are due by April 11 Categories include Beauty, Best Animal Print, Photogenic, Prettiest Hair and Prettiest Dress.

Admission is $3 plus one bag/box of dog or cat food or treats (children 3 and under admitted free).
